At the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, a proposal for a watch tower is created based on the concept of flight—the moment a bird takes off from the water into the sky. This concept of dematerialization creates this tri-part-type organization with lighter building elements and more exposure as one ascends up the tower. This creates a sublime platform for bird viewers—a perch in the sky, a view that is exclusive for those who have the ability of flight.
